What About Me? is a mini company set up by a group of transition year students in Dunmore Community School.
Our aim was to create an awareness of people with Special Needs but in particular, we were interested in producing a resource for the siblings of people with Special needs.
Our booklet “My Sibling…….then Me!” is written to help siblings of people with Special Needs to understand the disability and the difficulties, challenges and compromises they may have to make.
This resource can also be used by parents, teachers and professionals who may need to have conversations with young people who may have a sibling with Special Needs.
We are grateful to the many families who have shared their personal stories so that we can give true experiences as examples.
